This class offers the basics of directing a group of singers - church choir, small community choir, part section leader, assistant director, etc., It also gives you the basics to get the group starting together, staying together, setting a tempo, slowing or speeding up a tempo, singing at different volume levels, maintaining a rhythm, and bringing a song to an end. The director must also demonstrate a good singing posture, make eye contact with the group, and maintains a mood and and uses body language to enhance the music. Be prepared to spend most of the time actually directing and working as a group and in smaller groups.
