Although Finale is the program of choice for BHS notation, many aspiring composers are frightened off by the price. MuseScore 4 offers many of the same features, at a much more affordable cost: it’s free! And if you’re just interested in getting an attractive, engraved score for your choir or quartet, it may be all you need. Join Mike for a session on getting started with MuseScore. He’s feeling his way with the new program as well, so he’ll introduce you to the basics, and maybe a few of the more advanced functions. There may be questions that he can’t answer yet, but he’ll try! Mike will be on campus all weekend to answer questions.
